Foundation hoggs

As a foundation for the flock we got the pick of the 2010 crop of Hoggets from the Hans flock. We selected the 12 sheep we believed to be the best on looks and figures. These females have done very well for us and have provided an excellent starting point for us to build the flock with.

As you can see from the picture they are not excessively big boned and they have good bodies, having particularly level toplines and deep bodies throughout. We have found these lines to have much more vigour and easier lambing than many Suffolks we have experienced in the past.
